Press Release for Free Car's - "1000 Mile Freedom Run"

     In 1996 Jay Perdue was credited to be the first to swim the length of Lake Meredith, north of Amarillo, Texas. Again he was in the news as he set world records being the first ever to cross 4,000 miles of the United States on both land and water with his amphibious invention, Pedal-Paddle.

     At 52 he’s at it again as he attempts to go 1,000 miles from his Erin, Tennessee manufacturing plant to his Amarillo, TX manufacturing plant in his Free Energy Car. His latest invention, Free Energy Car is going up to 40 miles per day absolutely free! No gasoline and no plug-in! Jay’s goal is to average 40 miles per hour on his ‘commute’ to Amarillo, making the 1,000 mile trip in just 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening for a total of 26 hours!, in a very “lucky” 13 days, proving "the Free Energy Car really does work and can set America free from foreign oil!" Let me clarify. This is the first free energy vehicle to ever be able to efficiently travel early morning, late evening, or even in the dark! Plans are being made to produce an exact replica of the "Free Energy Car" along with 9 other variations at the Erin, Tennessee plant. Jay will be finalizing and tweaking his invention at the Perdue Acoustics Erin, Tennessee plant for the next three months while working towards a day to "commute" to Amarillo beginning April 9th. '1000 mile Freedom Commute' update!

Feb 21, 2007

     I've been getting Free Energy Car ready for the '1,000 mile Freedom Run Commute' for 1 month now. I've put 440 miles on the car to date going anywhere from 0 to 30 miles a day. The car has performed flawlessly. It's only enemy is steep hills. It's weight to power ratio is just a strain on hills but it flies around the little town of Erin, TN with ease. We did have a motor failure problem that was not the motor's fault. We're redesigning the brackets to see that it never happens again. The car is fast, super stable, nimble in steering, brakes well, and the regenative braking is flawless, saving the brakes and putting energy back in the batteries every time you slow down or go down hill,...it's great!
     With the added exercise to my day as I 'commute' around Erin, the Exercise/Health benefits are already apparent as well. In just 1 month I've lost 1" off my waist, lost 7 pounds from 192 to 185, and lost 2% body fat from 22.5% to 20.5%. I don't think I'll have any problem reaching my goal of 17.5% by the time I head out April 9th. Can you imagine 440 miles and not one fuel stop! Cruising around town at over 30 mph enclosed, with turn signals, brake lights, a horn, even safety strobes on top if I want them; fully street legal! It's great! Read the newspaper article and see what Erin, TN thinks of the little car. Until next time, God Bless!

     This has been an eventful week. I went over 500 miles and blew my first tire! The tire thing is kind of a good news/bad news deal. Tires go more quickly than on cars but they only cost $5-$10 and can be changed in a couple of minutes with just a big screwdriver! The other big news is less and less battery and more and more legs and less and less stomach! I dropped on down in the 19% body fat range this week and took another notch out of my belt; all the while having fun and enjoying the views of Erin, Tennessee in winter. I drove in 2" of snow and had a blast. It goes surprisingly well in snow and the ride was beautiful. Until next time;

     Good News/Bad news...
The good news this week is I went over 600 miles, the bad news is I blew out my left knee. Just a strain and I'll be OK in a few days. It reminds us all to exercise responsibly and I've been pushing really hard. I dipped into the 19% body fat this week but at a price. The machine is still working great. I should be able to get down the road at under 450 lbs. but that's still a lot to haul up a hill for both me and the motor. 99.9% of the people I talk to don't even begin to understand going 36 mph consistently on human power and less hp than most handheld circular saws; much less for free! Now if that's not enough, take all that weight with that little power up a hill! See you next week!

     The Erin, Tenn. St. Patricks Day parade was a huge success with 22,000 converging on the little town of only 1,800! Free Energy Car was a big hit with young and old and was featured in the town square after the parade. I got to show it off, folding the solar panels up and down to show it's ability to soak up the sun and then fold down into it's super aerodynamic shape. Now that it's finished and ready for the trip we've taken over 200 pictures of it from all angles and in all configurations. Enjoy! The day after the parade I charged it totally by he sun in 4 hours and put it on the charger to insure the batteries were completely full. The charger went immediately from yellow to green light; it couldn't put another millivolt into the system! I took the green two seater 15 miles to Kentucky Lake for lunch for 30 miles round trip with enough left in the batteries to run around in town for another day! Haven't heard of the two seater yet? Wait till next week!

     This week may be a little long because I have incredibly bad news and incredibly good news. I simply have to postpone the trip. The '1,000 Mile Freedom Run' in the Free Energy Car cannot leave this Monday after Easter as planed. To all the great people in the news media, the newspapers, radio stations, and TV stations, as well as the wonderful homecoming planed at the Amarillo Civic Center by the Amarillo Inventors Association, I'm deeply sorry. I'm still working on ways to meet the May 8th deadline but it may not happen. I've had something personal come up that is costing ten's of thousands of dollars and my daily attention. Someone needs me right now and I have to be there for them. Free Energy Car is about a strong America and a Strong America starts with strong families. When we're needed we drop our agenda and do whatever it takes. Please pray for us.

     I'm excited about the good news though! We have 7 new vehicles with 2 great options for each one ready to release to the public because of our work. New patents are being readied because of our findings.These vehicles have capabilities and features not found any where else on earth. I hope you'll keep coming back to this web site. We will have a run, and just a hint, it may have time to be a bigger event with another new technology I've been working on as well as one I just found out about. We may be able to make the 13 day run in just 3 days! We should have the sales website up by the end of next week! Thanks and God Bless! See you next week!

Wow, it’s been crazy…but good. My time has been semi-scheduled for two weeks now but both my personal project and my Exer Car  Project are going really well.

     I hinted at the new technology at last writing and I cant wait to tell you about it. Once abandoned as being applicable only to a high-speed/far distance vehicle the Tri-Hybrid is now a reality! I down sized the idea by adding a bicycle engine and gear box to the left side of the “jack–axle” and the results are incredible. You hit the right hand gas and left hand electric together for take off and wow! Then you let off the electric to save your batteries and let the little gas engine sustain the cruise speed only hitting the left electric button to climb hills, and climb it does! At nearly twice the hp and 150 lbs. lighter than Free Energy Car the ExerCar Tri-Hybrid is amazing. And get this, on my first test I got 320 miles per gallon!It was estimated from just a 4 oz. trip but I’ll be going farther and farther to retest the results so stay tuned!

     I’m really embarrassed my “weekly” report has taken a month. We buried my father’s only remaining living “immediate family” relative a couple of weeks ago back in Texas, and I stayed a week to just be with my Dad. His older brother, “Dub” Perdue, was a WWII vet of the Pacific Theater, and his other older brother died after the “Battle of the Bulge” in Belgium in the European Theater. Quite a heritage and a great man!

     We’re back on track, but my big problem with making the “1,000-mile commute” is a great one. We’re building trikes as fast as we can! The Tri-Hybrid is not even on the ExerCar sales website yet and I’m delivering one to Madison, Wisconsin, next week! It’s so new I want to do a little hands-on training with the first owner and will do some rivers on my Pedal-Paddle invention with a friend in Iowa as well. I’ve tested the Tri-Hybrid a lot over the last several weeks, going 30 miles to and from lunch on Kentucky Lake and burning 11 ounces of regular unleaded gas. That’s 348 miles per gallon. I continue to be amazed at the Tri-Hybrid and will keep you informed of its progress, both from here and from our new customer in Madison, Wisconsin!

Until next time!

Jay Perdue
