 Hello, I'm Jay Perdue. inventor and entrepreneur. The world is absolutely running out of fossil fuels and we will be forced to use alternate forms of propulsion and transportation sooner than most people realize. Mass transit is obviously more efficient when properly planned but with mass transportation we loose our freedom. As I began to analyze this problem I came across two very interesting statistics. One is that at any given time on average 90% of every car in America has one person in it within 20 miles from home. The second statistic is similar...Approx. 90% of all people owning home fitness equipment or health club memberships almost never use them!Now, I love solutions to problems especially if the solution can solve several problems or issues at once. Three years of research, development, trial and error have brought me to the Free Energy Car and Tri-Hybrid car. Free Energy Car utilizes fold away solar panels and human power combined. We're up to 40 m.p.h. and 30 miles free everyday and we're working to improve and increase both speed and distance. However, many believe America must be weened to this 'bare bones' form of transportation. The addition of a small gasoline engine gives us the speed and distance we demand now with the ability to add heat, air conditioning and other conveniences and luxuries we've become so accustomed to. Additionally some may not be interested in pedaling at all. Now, in my opinion, the human effort at 60 m.p.h. does very little, so don't pedal on the way to work. Help on the way home, jump in the shower and you're done! Or in the case of the Tri-Hybrid just go to and from work or school in a super efficient, pollution and fossil fuel greatly reduced way and get a great workout on the way home! Like I said, we're up to 30 miles free every day with the solar panels, but some would rather not spend $2000 for solar panels. Air conditioning is a big energy waster so I developed an 'ice blower' that requires you to fill up the ice holder before each commute, but some may not want to do this. The 'Ice Blower' saves energy, complexity, and $1000 in the base cost of the vehicle. As you can see, there are many choices to be made and benefits to be reaped. You can help us decide what America will and will not give up as we continue into this new era.
